But for yelp the discrepancy is much larger in many cases, I have seem restaurants getting 4 9 on google with more than 6000 reviews and then on yelp they get 3 8-3 5 based on 30 reviews wtf ?

Yelp has the problem of filtering hiding some reviews, so in that sense Google is more open But it also makes Google more susceptible to being review-bombed by people who've never actually been there
