I do have a CAI CETME, it had quite a few issues that had to be repaired Headaches and repair issues aside, it has proven to be a very accurate rifle As far as getting a G-3 clone compared to a CETME, I think you made out quite well, there are a LOT more parts available for the G-3 based rifles than are the CETME, some parts are

Re: CAI Mosin-Nagant Sniper Yes if buying thru a dealer that is a decent price, plus you get to check the rifle a little, (Bore, Scope mount, Etc) Be aware that if the sniper scope is mounted on a Hex reciever it will probably be approx 1 8" off center line of barrel so they tilt those scopes left a little to center it

Re: CAI C308 Sporter Anyone have a report? The original HK port buffer is metal and has to be welded onto the receiver I have seen others use JB weld to hold the plastic buffer in place

Yes the story is true Century imported a lot of Imbel receivers without the desirable Gear Logo of Imbel Many people see the Century stamp on the receiver and walk away from what is probably the best receiver made for FAL's

Rifle #1 as far as I can tell is definately built off of a British parts kit just about all parts have the "DE" logo or UA or UB stamped somewhere on them It is a CAI build, but it appears to be pre 922r days Side of upper reciever is stamped L1A1 and really tiny "sporter" Cal 308 then beneath that CAI blah blah blah

I bought a used AKM (CAI SAR-1) a couple weeks ago from this shop It was the exact rifle that I had been looking for and overpaid slightly for it just because it's what I wanted The purchase was smooth enough the owner was helpful and pleasant during the transaction

I recently acquires a CZ-52 7 62x25 Pistol thanks to GreyWolfJr on this board I have researched all of the markings but have been stumpted by the importer's mark The importer stamp says STM Kingston, TN I have searched extensively and can find no reference to this importer Most of this guns were imported by CAI or SOG
