CDNow was in money trouble for a long time They were always privately funded and they were having a more and more difficult time obtaining more funding as the dotcoms collapsed CDNow came very close to folding at least once In the end they were swallowed up by Amazon I don't know why, really, but Jeff Bezos just annoys me
