I really want a CJ7 but was told that unless I want to be fixing it up and dumping a bunch of money into the Jeep Id be better off getting a TJ IMO the CJs look so much better than the TJs I want to get a middle of the road CJ7 (if there is such a thing) Not something that is too expensive

On the CJs YJs, I've seen both the one pictured and the one described My 75 CJ-6 has one like pictured (with the mount bracket) Seeing yours is a 76, I would say it IS stock My other later years CJs all have the OEM two hole type The YJ went back to the older style (pre76), but with no mount bracket and it hung in the air neear the master When my 75 CJ P valve started leaking, I used a YJ

The research I've done shows that the later CJs switched to the 354 being the standard gears with the 4 cyl and the 4 10 gears were optional Again with both your buddies and mine being a t4, the 354 gears make sense and follow my logic from above
