The CPAT is a Physcial Test agreed upon between the IAFC the IAFF The agreed upon prep time between the two entities for the CPAT test is 5 weeks from the CPAT introduction in which they show you the video and tell you about how that particular department runs their process

The CPAT is very easy I really can't see any reason why anybody couldn't pass the test in the alotted time of 10:20 It doesn't matter what time you get, as it is a pass fail test Fire departments don't get to see your times and the CPAT testing center won't give your times to them

My CPAT will be May 5th I may not be able to attend the practice CPAT happening in April, because it conflicts with my EMT course I'm going to try to make it, but there is a good chance I won't be able to I'm looking on specific advice for how a smaller person like me should approach the CPAT

Before the "CPAT" we had our own test and one was the hoisting of a coiled 50 ft section of 2-1 2" hose line from the ground to the 5th floor (window) landing of the drill tower, in the quickest time you could manage Some never got the hose to the 2nd or 3rd floor much less to the target of the 5th floor
