Caprice SS was the export model, for whatever reasons--popularity of the Caprice in the Middle East being the likely primary reason as others have suggested Not really aware of any reason that a name would be found offensive in any local area the export car was offered to keep it from being called "Impala SS"

There was a YouTube video about flushing a plugged heater core with I believe it was CLR or some similar compound and it restored the heat output IIRC the Caprice Impala (3600 series) to 1996 used an aluminum composite heater core not the copper, maybe someone can confirm or correct me?
