I am new to Carlson survey 2011 with embedded CAD Two questions first when I open the drawing for the first time I use the wizard so I can browes to the path of my project and drawing But when I want to open a different drawing in the same project it gives me the name the drawing to open I need to browes to it can I? Note Carlson resets the LTSCALE variable when you change drawing settings The line types using text characters will be dependent on the settings in the text style so check to see if the height and font are set to the same in each drawing

If you are running Carlson NEVER, NEVER , NEVER load AutoCAD TrueView!! It will take over your entire set up and will NOT do anything to add a solution to a plotting problem I would look more at your settings under your pdf software, Adobe or whatever Be sure that your sheet size you select will fit the scale you are plotting at

Remember, Carlson added on top of AutoCAD is basically only a menu program like Softdesk was AutoCAD still runs the show, so many of your problems may be in your load of AutoCAD Either way, it sounds like you have some corrupted software, either Carlson, AutoCAD or both
