Why is my chow chow's fur short? 1st time dog owner by licorish » Thu Jan 02, 2014 3:36 pm Hi, it's my first time to have a dog puppy, and they said it's a chow chow But I've been wondering since I frequently see chow chow puppies with so much fur, and they all look like cute cuddly furballs Mine is not that furry, but is cuddly nonetheless

Hi, new here Just got my baby Chow of 2 mths old Heard from some folks that Chow Chow needs a cold temperature to keep them cool because of their thick fur Just wondering know how true it is And if possible can someone with experience let me know that what is the exact temperature they need BTW the room temperature of my place is 30deg C Thx XD

Re: How cold can the Chows withstand ? by Sarahloo » Fri Nov 04, 2011 2:26 pm I'm sure the Chow wouldn't mind staying in the heated shelter, I doubt he would be cold, but I don't think the cold would be good for his bones in the long run It might do some real damage as he gets older Is there no way the Chow can stay in the house ?

However given the tendency for aggressiveness in Chow chow dogs and the mischievous nature of cats I'd like to know if any of you folks have experience with Chow chows living in a house alongside a cat (s) Of course the details of their companionship is relative to their individual personalities
