Jumping into classic for the first time I've been having a ton of back and forth as to what race I should choose for shaman I've narrowed it down to Orc or Tauren (sorry Trolls), but still can't decide I plan on leveling as enhancement, then respeccing into ele resto for endgame raiding and pvp

classic right away, because leveling really is a big part of the game that includes questing, doing professions, running dungeons to gear up, doing pvp in retail the leveling is pretty inconsequential you do not need professions at all in fact, it's a waste of your time you only run dungeons to level faster and pvp is pretty much dead the

However each version of classic (SoD, Era, Cata) most people are not actively leveling through lower end content Retail respects players time a bit better and the end game dungeons and raids are more fast paced and fun If you've got friends to go through classic content with I'd do that If you're more solo, retail
