Geforce Experience is getting deprecated, and the old Nvidia controlpanel is being merged fully with it at a later date To answer your question; The new Nvidia app is miles better than Geforce Experience simply because it doesn't require logins to use

Open Nvidia control panel, click on manage 3d settings, click on the program settings tab, select geforce experience from the drop down menu at the top and click on restore defaults to the right and then apply

Open geforce experience overlay settings (alt+z i believe) and go to keybinds, theres an option for "save the last xxx minutes", make sure you memorize that bind (or use anything you like, I use alt+m)
