What's a good starter crossbow for deer hunting? Something in the middle price-wise $300-ish What kind things make a good crossbow? Would you recommend a 4x or just a red-dot? Any other things to look for or tips?

Archery (including crossbows) should be legal unless it is prohibited by the HOA I have dealt with a lot of HOA's and they need a way to harvest wildlife if and when it becomes a problem I would keep archery as a viable option as well as shotgun from an elevated platform, if legal
