I used the first option of "fixing" it with changing the SHA256 checksum in the Live2D_Cubism jar file for the patched rlm1221 But apparently it can be done much easier by editing the bat file (as explained in the video AND in that forum post as a second option)

You could try opening it in the viewer instead (a separate thing that should be together with Cubism, called Live2D Cubism Viewer or something)? Even with automatic blinking on, my model doesn't blink when viewing in the physics window but it does in the actual viewer Sorry I don't know how to fix the actual problem, but this way at least you should be able to see your model blinking until
