I usually grip the cue a little lower ( toward the butt) than where the balance point is I tried to hold the cue more towards the butt and immediately I noticed my stroke is much straighter and I give little or no unwanted spin The problem is I feel my stroke much less loose and the cue seems like it weighs 50 pounds
