A lot of monitors out there today support a really neat feature called DDC CI, but not many people have ever heard of it, let alone know what it's for DDC CI stands for Display Data Channel Command Interface and basically allows monitor control via the graphics card

DDC gives more headpressure then a D5 A D5 is more silent tho, but is a lot bigger In a low to medium loop restriction loop, both will perform the same The DDC will have the edge in a high restriction loop, but the difference isn't very big So chose which one you like the most I'd would go for the D5 because their are quieter than DDC's

The DDC is a bit louder than the D5, but vibrations matter a lot! And if you use a distro plate with the pump attached to it, you have no damping at all My D5 became a lot quieter from going to the EK pump res combo to a the Heatkiller pump res combo with superb dampers installed Try that DDC pump with a normal top and keep in your hand

Noise is a LOT subjective, i have two DDC 1T pumps (10w, non PWM versions) working in serial on an EK DDC Bay Res and are very very silent even at full power, even after roughly 4 years of use DDC's which are ratred at 18w do tend to be noisier, but PWM does fix that Hell, even a nice rubber mount can solve a LOT of noise issues for any pump

The other trick, was I couldn't find a modern comparison of DDC pump tops, so I kinda had to pick based on looks and hope for a quiet top with decent performance, although it was interesting stumbling across the early days of Aquacomputer and other companies that were good but are long dead
