We flew Volaris out of TJ We had a 8-1 2' tube and 6-fully loaded reels on our checked baggage Paid an extra Sport fee for the rod tube $46 I think No issues You can not carry on loaded reels All I can say is make sure you buy insurance! One year I had them break 5 rods only to find out they covered NOTHING because I didn't have insurance
