I've been buying Daiwa BG 3000s the past several years Great spinning reels but they're 139 bucks at Cabelas That makes these President XT reels basically half the cost At that price, they become good buys, IMHO Tight lines, fellas! p s - I still fish a Liberty Spinning Rod from 1987

Looking for some perspective from Shimano TDR users! Picture and Info corrected! Replaced my falling apart Daiwa Accudapth rods with Shimano TDR's During pandemic I found 8 online at a bait and tackle in western Michigan but they were for wire so they had thicker more durable stainless steel

We had planned on the Daiwa Wilderness rods and matching them with some Okuma Magda reels, which my research here indicated was a good choice My question is: I can get Magda 30DX reels for the same price as the larger Magda 45DX reels Is there any advantage or disadvantage going with the bigger reels? Is a 2" line retrieve difference anything?

I also used Daiwa Accudepth model ACDDR862M which is a slower action 2 piece rod for planer boards They have a little more give to them and slower action Cabela's has had the Diawa sealine combo's on sale at this time of the year where you can get the 27 model sea line (blue line counter reel) and rod for about $80-90

We are in the process of upgrading our trolling reels At the Walleye School a few years back they recommended Daiwa Wilderness 7' rods Their advice was to use the same set ups for all of our rods and reels I was able to pick up 6 used Okuma reels and Wilderness Rods from a member on here
