Re: How many discus in a 40G breeder tank? I use a 40 breeder for a QT tank but ideally discus should be in tanks that are at least 3' long preferably 4' (could you imagine walking around in small circles your entire life?) Also discus need at least 10 gal each I would not keep adults in there and it is a bad idea to have less than 6 discus together (could lead to serious aggression problems)

Re: Optimal TDS for just growing out and keeping discus Don't mess with your water, use straight tap water and if possible keep it in a holding tank and treat with Prime and heat it to the same temp as your tank
