- Is DisplayLink worthwhile on it on M4 - have to decide Pro or Max
Displaylink has its limits as you know, but I usually just have my email open on that monitor, so it works fine for that If your three monitor workflow involves one screen that is largely static and or text-based then in my opinion Displaylink is a perfectly reasonable alternative to upgrading to the M4 Max

Thought I'd share my experiences in using DisplayLink as an user that uses multiple monitors (4 currently) So I used to own an intel 2019 MBP 16" running off an razor CoreX eGPU on 5 displays (Four 27" 4k, One 27" 2k) off one thunderbolt cable, until recently the logic board died (suspect constant overload off one thunderbolt port)

Upgrading to the latest drivers from the DisplayLink web site did not help The same DisplayLink dock worked perfectly under Windows 8 1 :-( As per above Device Manager shows that the driver is loaded and appears to be working correctly it's just not showing up in Networking and Sharing

I recently picked up a USB to DisplayPort DisplayLink adapter from Cable Matters to add a second monitor, and the monitor plugged into it works just fine Problem is, whenever the DisplayLink display is connected, the monitor connected directly to the DisplayPort port on the TS3+ seems to lose some color depth and things that are supposed to be
