If you keep your shots under 30 yards you should be golden with just about any steel 4 or 3 shot on the market Steel 3s are a better all around shot size for big ducks in my opinion Out to 40 yards I'd say steel 3 shot maybe even 2s for big ducks later in the season Honestly I don't like steel 4s for big ducks and find 3s to be a better option

For them ducks are the most important thing Sep-Jan, but god forbid they do anything after the season Writing a check is fine if they can win something, but try to get them to give up a Saturday to help improve habitat, they would shoot their wife to get out of that

Watched them circle a few times yesterday and land on top of a grain bin, eat some oats, fly to the next one, eat some corn This is the best picture I could get of them but definitely a pair of black bellied whistling ducks Snuck over there to take a picture but they busted me IMG_3878 jpg

The answer really depends on the ducks Just saying duck covers a lot of ground For teal, you probably need #6s, or maybe #4s at the largest For large divers, tough birds, #1s or Bs may not be enough Generally though, for large puddle ducks, mallards, blacks, pintails, etc 1 1 4oz #2s is about the standard
