Re: Cerakote vs DuraCoat My understanding is Cerakote is an epoxy ceramic mix, and Duracoat is an epoxy based paint I haven't used either yet, Cerakote is supposed to be much more durable

First project with duracoat Wanted to do a play on Luis Vuitton but the men's version Turned out as I wanted, but my question for duracoaters out there is should or do I need a clear coat over the top? Polyurethane? Will it hold up without one? Thanks for any insight

Re: Duracoat, What am I doing wrong? Are you mixing the Duracoat properly? It is a 2 step process, a hardener and the the paint I have also had good results with preheating the area to be treated to about 120 Deg

Any argument for Duracoat or Cerakote? Anything else to look at for at home application? Leaning towards Cerakote Seems like Duracoat goes on heavier I have a G19 slide Cerakoted and it's proven itself to me I'd imagine it'll be something I use more often if I have it available

Re: duracote vs cerakote vs hydrodip I've personally applied duracoat cerakote, and had a multicam hydrodip from Dakota industries (they do great work) Hydro is the least durable Cerakote is the most durable by far: and I'm working with the air cure stuff: the oven cure is a little tougher yet
