- gmsh to Elmer - Elmer Discussion Forum
Here is the problem encountered when using the gmsh generated 3D mesh (V2 ascii msh format) in Elmer: Although the original msh file from gmsh has 3 dielectric regions, Elmer claims that it has 5 bodies Since the mesh is unstructured and is moderately complex (~300K tetrehedral elements), displaying the 5 bodies identified by Elmer is

I installed Elmer in Ubuntu 14 04 (64 bits) using the procedure described above and using cmake command (Method B) as described in step 4 It could find the LAPACK libraries during building
- FEM-Newbie: finding out elment equations in Elmer
The existing Elmer solvers ( src) files implementing Finite Element Method (FEM) for solving Partial Differential Equation (PDE) are used in their default way Type C:>> (Type A or Type B) + Writing an elmer solver for a PDE (need to write an Elmer module in fortran 90 format and compile it with a elmerf90 compiler)
- Elmer module for Salomé - Elmer Discussion Forum
add Elmer specific GUI elements to the MESH module sounds like a good idea to me I have tried to experiment with a mini-module in Python some time ago, see this post in the Salomé forum
- Interpolation from Elmer results to a new Elmer mesh
For the while, we do this kinf of stuff : Outside Elmer, values at the boundary from a previous simulation are interpolated in the new Elmer mesh under a tabular form (column x,y,value)
- How to Obtain the Imaginary Part in Helmholtz Equation Simulations with . . .
Re: How to Obtain the Imaginary Part in Helmholtz Equation Simulations with Elmer by kevinarden » 31 Mar 2024, 11:34 I think by default it outputs a vector called pressure wave, default paraview shows the magnitude of a vector, but you can select the x, or y part of the vector which I believe corresponds tp pressure wave 1 and pressure wave 2
