- Went off Emgality : r cgrpMigraine - Reddit
Hi all, I started emgality in 12 2019 and my last shot was 2 6 21 I began to realize the side effects of the shot were increasingly difficult to manage and I decided to stop taking the med I have crazy brain fog, like I can’t wake up, fatigued all day, depressed, crying, even suicidal ideation the first few days after I didn’t take it 3 6 21 GI issues, rashes on body but specifically
- On Emgality + Tapering off Topiramate. Headaches back. What to do . . .
I started on Emgality a year ago and it’s essentially reduced my migraines by 95%! I would only get an attack when triggered eg by alcohol My neurologist said eventually I could come off the Topiramate or “dopamax” and so the last few months I’ve been progressively tapering off I was on 100mg daily for 6+ years so it’s a slow taper
- Emgality and Raynauds Syndrome Warning : r migraine - Reddit
I had been on Emgality for 4 months before the numbness tingling started The neurologist told me that there was a study from Mayo Clinic Phoenix that showed that people with Raynaud's Syndrome on Emgality had a 1 125 chance of one of their digits autoamputating
- Emgality and Nurtec (success?!) : r cgrpMigraine - Reddit
Emgality and Nurtec (success?!) I haven't seen much info about using these two together so I figured I'd see if anyone here had any experience with both I get 15-20 migraines a month, I've tried all of the older drugs and nothing legal has worked I got Nurtec 2 months ago, I've had to use it 8 times so far
- Emgality is SO painful—advice? : r cgrpMigraine - Reddit
Emgality injections are honestly one of the most painful things I've ever felt The nurse said it feels like a bee sting? Sure, maybe if the bee was made of lead, traveling 100mph, and PUNCHED you with its stinger I'd rather have a migraine I'd rather have several migraines
- Terrified to try Emgality - would love to hear your stories.
I started emgality and another preventative at that time- the other med actually ended up causing more migraines so it wasn’t until I just got off of it a month ago that i realized how much emgality is helping ! So interesting your comment about it reducing trigeminal pain and jaw pain!
- Insurance won’t cover Emgality and I’m at the point of . . . - Reddit
Insurance won’t cover Emgality and I’m at the point of breaking down I’ve been trying to find something that works for my headaches, and my insurance company-UMR-has decided they will not cover my prescription for Emgality This is after also being declined Neurtec (and I was NOT about to shell out nearly $3k for it)
