The guitar in the pictures Kelcey put up is the guitar I played there It played and sounded just like it should Pedal action is so good on it, you’d swear you’re playing an all pull guitar He even got my 68 Emmons playing as good as the new ones The man is a monster when it comes to building (or rebuilding) them

In Fall of 1964 Emmons made at least ONE metal neck Bolt-on on Wraparound necks I think it was #14 but I will need to check my notes It had the same 1964-style low bolt-on axle pillows used on the wood neck Wraparound Bolt-ons such as 7 and 8, and 10, but the neck was full aluminum rather than having a wood insert

Emmons guitars through the 70s were offered in Satin Mica finish or Gloss Mica finishes in several colors They were also available in lacquer finishes In addition, you could choose aluminum necks (standard) or have them built with wood neck inserts The guitar you have in the photo appears to have the Satin Walnut Mica finish

Bought my Emmons push-pull new from Jimmy Crawford's basement shop around '78 He set it up with my copedent It's still my only steel Was happy back then to rid myself of an all-pull and I've never bought another one My Emmons push-pull stays in tune, which is my priority: played fairs then, wineries breweries now
