My wife is 30 years old and has been a teacher and CalSTRS member for 8 years She is transitioning into an administrative position covered by CalPERS and will have to decide among the following retirement benefit options: 1 Stay with CalSTRS exclusively, 2 Dual membership with CalSTRS and CalPERS (but only contribute to CalPERS going forward), and 3 Join CalPERS and end CalSTRS membership

Has anyone waded thru the pros and cons of taking Ohio's STRS advantage plan vs a supplemental when turning 65? It has a retiree advantage plan with a $126 premium with 150 deductible and 1500 OOPM
