I just picked up a new set of Energizer 2500mAh AA batteries Stamped on the wrapper is "01-06", which I take to mean a date of manufacture of January 2006 I also have an older set of 2100mAh with "03-05 00" is stamped onto the wrapper I've had them for a few years, but don't remember

- This thing says I have to use Energizer E91 AAs. Why?
Energizer's own literature clearly states the E91 are alkaline Ah, you're right, I'm thinking of L91s; which makes even less sense, because why would you use the product code for a common alkaline battery?! You'd think detector designers would make it a point to keep things simple for the end user

I have had a lot of luck with Duracell and Energizer AA, AAA, and 9V lithium batteries (non-rechargeables) in devices that I tend to want to put a battery in and forget about for a few years For example; Energizer Ultimate Lithium or Duracell Ultra Lithium batteries Does anyone make C or D cell non-rechargeable lithium replacement batteries?
