I have a 1989 evinrude 150 2 stroke that starts easily with the water muffs on but once it's dropped into the water at the lake it will not start unless brought out of the water I've already rebuilt the carbs and cleaned out the jets and fuel passages Any ideas? Thank you

The proper method for trailering is to have the engine in a full tilt position and resting on the trailering support bracket, then have both trim rams pulled in to a point where the engine makes a jerking motion At this point, immediately take your finger off of the PTT trim switch Now, quickly and sharply, tap the PTT up button

The starboard engine needs rebuilding I understand that it is a marine version of the 350 truck engine After some calls I found a relieable shop that can do a complete rebuild This would include most of the internal parts As for the special items I can get those on line and install them as I drop the engine back in place
