You cannot switch it online It sounds like they added an entirely new phone line with a new phone number on the value plus plan which is an individual plan only You'll have to contact AT T about doing a transfer of billing responsibility to add that phone line to your unlimited starter plan

It's funny too since in the store there is a sign that says they treat existing customers the same as new customers Clearly, that isn't true, or is there actually a way to switch to the online only plan for an existing customer?

I am existing AT T DSL customer and I am looking to upgrade my internet speed from the Elite (6MBPS) to MAX Plus (18 MBPS) I replaced the piece my 2-WIRE Gateway with a Motorola 2247-N8 Gateway that indicated on the box that it is compatible for AT T DSL Service

If you read the details on these promotions there is a requirement that you not cancel any existing lines within 90 days of adding new lines in order to take up a promotion, even when those promotions are available to existing customers Also note than when a line is canceled off of your account it is canceled as of the last day of your bill cycle

I did call customer retention and spoke with a young lady who pretty much told me to pound sand I was expecting some kind of offer for being a longtime loyal customer ( I am a business owner who understands the value cost of keeping an existing customer compared to advertising and competing for a new customer)
