My current setup is a Tascam 16x08 with 5 inputs (mics) and 5 outputs (headsets) which then leads into the Tascam 16x08 software and then routes to Voicemeeter, which is recognizing the separate inputs through the Tascam ASIO and therefore each hardware input (5 mics) is in each of the strips on Voicemeeter
- Additional Aux Send monitor channel, or Virtual Audio Output
If OBS Studio provided a second audio monitor channel (similar to a second Aux send), you could simply select all sources except the USB Mixer audio source for monitoring and send that back via the second virtual input channel in Voicemeeter

I'm new to both OBS and VoiceMeeter and watched lots of tutorials I have audio signal showing on the VoiceMeeter Virtual Input meter and on the Virtual Out B meter I have set OBS audio device to VoiceMeeter Input (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO) but no audio signal is present on the OBS Desktop

Use the virtual webcam and mix in your screens audio into your microphone using voicemeeter This doesn't allow people to change your voice stream volume independently but, more importantly, any other users in the Discord channel who aren't watching your stream still hear your stream audio with this method

VoiceMeeter Input is my default playback device and VoiceMeeter Output is my default recording device (as recommended) I have my Mic set to Hardware Input 1 and my Soundboard going through my Hardware Input 2 using CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable and enabling B1 so the Soundboard goes through the same source as my mic

It also allowed my to separate my DAW (using v-ASIO) from main audio, giving me a more flexible setup The only issue is that the "voicemeeter insert" options don't like compositing, post-fades, or fx-inserts; and the "voicemeeter main" option crashes obs repeatably for me

In this setup, you gain at least one "virtual" audio device to serve as your default system audio, and Voicemeeter takes the place of the Windows default audio mixer
