- FFg or FFFg? - The Muzzleloading Forum
We did this last summer and found about a 6 to 8% increase in weight for FFFg over FFg in the same volume (i e 84 gr FFg is the same volume as 90 gr FFFg) FFFg has smaller kernels and packs together tighter with less air space It is burning faster though, so dropping back 10 or 15% is a safe, conservative practice 1 3 is way more than

- The Truth About Triple 7? - The Muzzleloading Forum
The Swiss "Revolver Powder" equivalent actually outperforms Hodgdon 777 FFFg by a small margin The recent Remington tests, using Swiss Black Powder and 777 FFFg, demonstrated high conical velocities with relatively small powder charges
- FFFG Triple 7 Load For . 50 Caliber CVA Wolf 209
Hi My dad accidentally bought a can of FFFG Triple 7 powder for his 50 caliber CVA Wolf 209 rifle I've read that it is okay to use FFFG in rifles 50 caliber and under, but will the load need to be adjusted? He is going after elk in a couple weeks, and was planning on using 120 grains of FFG
