- Basic differences between 1st Gen Firebirds and Camaros
The 67-68 Firebird uses a curved pitman arm ( to clear exhaust), I think the dash knobs are different too, as well as the rear leaf springs and rear end (wider springs external axle retainers instead of C clips In 69 the Camaro dash was changed, the Firebird dash was only modified but all of the steering linkage was changed

Get a new interior harness and a new dimmer switch The lights work through a reverse ground at the dimmer switch, so make sure it's in good working order (new one) and has a solid ground as the full voltage of the lights routes through these wires (see old burned wires)

Guys, On a 67, (assume it's the same for 68) the clips remain inside the moldings, and are pressed on over the pinch weld area (which has some type of rubberized tape or sealer applied to it, probably to prevent rust) and the moldings have five screw holes in them that attach the molding in fixed locations, while the clips get spaced out over the remaining areas

If using the 93-02 Firebird module (Part # 16525685) the wiring is a bit different The up signal is wired exactly the same and can be done using the stock C3 headlight switch The down signal is accomplished by simply grounding terminal "C" on the Firebird control module

Great discussion- and I have owned a '68 Firebird coupe in the past- I loved that car, and I dearly want a '69 Firebird convertible someday My project convert's front shakers came out of a wrecked 69 in Atlanta, GA, found about 1980 or so

The Firebird supplement to the main manual says to refer to the main manual for any information not contained within And the main manual has 32 ft lb for both the Pontiac (full size) and the Tempest
- Firebird vs Camaro value - Team Camaro Tech
1970 camaro firebird value would be about the same , I can't see any reason that a 1970 camaro would be worth more or less than a 1970 firebird ,,in my opinion the value is even between those two ,, 1967 RS 327
