I started taking Flomax 5 days after I started proton beam therapy pain during urination I tried going off about3 months after my treatment and the pain was still there Kept using it for another year and tried it again and pain was gone Haven't used it sense Not sure if it's used for other reasons and might need long term use

Taking Combined Therapy of Tamsulosin + Finasteride for BPH? For those who've been taking both meds for awhile, are they working to improve your BPH symptoms? And for those who've stopping taking both meds, did your prostate return to "normal" with a decrease in symptoms and with an improvement in the quality of your life?

My doctor put me on flomax as I wait for a surgery date, I wasn't really having huge problems going, but was getting up 2x per night at least and occasionally having my stream stop a couple times I missed 2 doses, without realizing it, I have been on the flomax for about 60 days, I was having such a hard time going it was painful The straining was like to the point of making you want to sit

@mjp0512 Flomax (Tamsulosin) is known to lower BP; it’s a common side-effect One doctor I heard say that’s the way some of these urinary drugs were discovered - some were initially BP medications and the guys noticed that they also peed better!

Flomax helps, but drawing more water out of my body caused me severe constipation I tried stool softeners but finally had to use a combo stool softener 17 mg two nights to have a bowel movement
