I was diagnosed with AMAN type GBS in July 2013 while backpacking in South East Asia (Thailand to be exact) My first symptoms were extreme abdominal pain followed by foot pain Over the course of 2 weeks this progressed to complete paralysis from the waist down, arms, hands and abdominal muscles

i really don’t know for years after gbs i was afraid to take a drink for fear of who-knows-what [prolly making my difficult condition worse] anyway, when i finally went back to the occasional, i never noticed any difference i stopped my heavier drinking 10 years before getting gbs take care be well gene gbs 8-99 in numbers there is strength

- Effects of GBS over 2 years later
I had GBS in 2008 I wish I could remember dates and details but I am having issues with my memory I am 48 years old and since my bout with GBS I have to admit my health is declining somewhat GBS left me with nerve damage from head to foot and no reflexes I have severe migraines now I have stomach issues now
