  • New offerings from Buco - O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum
Hello Gentlemen (and Ladies): It has been some time since posting We (my good wife and I) have just returned to "the land down-under" from a two month driving holiday in Europe While we were in Switzerland I went to the new Buco tinplate train factory in Bauma (a small town to the north-east of Zurich), and saw how they still manufacture tinplate wagons, passenger cars, and electric
  • Lionel #6-5906 Sound Activation Button - O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum
Since the 6-5906 is notorious for burning up, as mine have, I thought that if I opened it up and simply replaced the diodes with heavier duty ones that I could solve the problem
  • G-Gauge | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum
I am not sure if I am posting this in the right spot or not or if I am going to get chastised for asking, but here goes I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old and they are into trains, at Christmas we put up the P E O gauge train around the
  • What minimum radius for 2-rail, standard gauge?
I know this is an often-asked question - please bear with me Depending on what models are used, what would the members say is the minimum radius that some standard gauge (32mm) 2-rail O Scale models can get round? Here in the UK, with smaller houses, and therefore smaller layouts, it's an important question So, 36inch ? 24inch ? Maybe less, at a push ?? How about 9+5 8 inch ? Yep, less

  • Layout and track expansion and contraction. | O Gauge Railroading On . . .
My brother models on HO gauge so he's always got Model Railroader laying around Paging through an issue last week there was an item about providing gaps in rails to allow for expansion of the tracks, roadbed or tabletop It even had a picture of misaligned tracks on the editor's layout when he failed to provide for expansion
  • Question about Lionel F3 B unit. - O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum
I'm looking at a TMCC B unit in an ad that Lionel's site says is "Traditional O Gauge, 13" in length I'm wanting a 'Scale' F3 and not a PW sized F3 Their term 'Traditional O Gauge" is throwing me off The photo appears to be one of the modern
  • Lionel Gantry Crane Track | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum
KD has his gantry tracks without ties which would be common with concrete under the crane His appear to have rail spikes but they could also be just glued, with say E-6000 clear glue, to gray fake concrete I went with 1 2 ties by cutting up 027 track ties to make them as they would take screws to hold the track down Fake sleeper ties are in between the 1 2 cut up 027 ties I had not thought
