The 120 GMX factory ammo was pretty hot, from the 22 5" barrel I shoot the bullets were passing the chrono avg 3075fps roughly, IMO that's pretty darn quick and I noted that the primers were somewhat flattened, definitely flatter than my known-to-be-warm 140Amax handload

Look at the title that you posted for this thread Then re-read what I actually wrote in my above post, "55 grain GMX 224" projectile," and then re-look at the picture of the actual 55 grain GMX 224" projectile that I posted The pictures that you posted are nothing but stock pictures from Hornady of larger caliber GMX projectiles

Re: Hornady GMX problems - help needed Well with my finding using GMX's, is that they have a secant design and are very sensitive to seating depth I have shot these GMX's out of 3 rifles and had great results, but they do require some time

Re: hornaday GMX vs SST bullets in 308 comparison Shot 2 deer this year with my 30-06 using 150gr GMX bullets and they were both dead in their tracks One was at 50yds and the other was at 200yds The exit hole was impressive on the one at 200yds My friend shoots the SST's out of his 270 and has had good luck with them

The new Hornady GMX bullet is made from guilding metal, not solid copper like the TSX I have noticed much less fouling with the GMX than the Barnes bullets If you run the Barnes in a fast caliber (magnum), then you will have copper fouling in as little as 15-20 rounds I have had good accuracy with the GMX, as well as the Barnes

My Lyman 50th Edition Reloading Manual says that Hornady made this powder for their Superformance loads Has anyone tried this powder with a 6 5 Creedmoor and had any luck with it ? Just looking to see if it would work as good as H-4350 and give the same or better groups I have not used any
