Looking to get a thru-hull ducer for a simrad go9 xse I recently installed but not sure which one will work the best for mainly offshore tuna and a little inshore bottom fishing? Any suggestions would definitely be appreciated Thanks in advance!

I have a GO9 with the 3in1, I’ve found I gotta kick the transducer down 5-10 degrees from the keel line of the hull to pick up anything over 15-20mph When done correctly, it’s not the best fish finder but you should be able to read bottom to 400’ at cruise

You are SOL when it comes to networking the Go9 units and trying to share sonar, radar or even map data That type of data goes through the ethernet cable and Simrad intentionally limits the Go series from being able to share data through the ethernet Simrad wants you to update to the EVO series if you want to share data via the ethernet cable The only exception is the Go12 which has

Wait - i thought the GO9 was a 600watt unit?? I guess I didn't explain properly Yes, it is 1kw "capable" but wont output enough and utilize the capabilites of a 1kw It's more of a 600 watt unit So you could use a 1kw ducer with the GO9, but the NSS would give you better clarity
