From what it looks like, HP doesn't like 3rd party sellers I'm looking for software to downgrade my printer firmware so that I'm able to install these ink cartridges without handing over a bunch more money to HP

I have been using non-HP cartridges for the past couple years without issue, until today when I tried to replace them I guess a surreptitious update by HP must have upgraded the printer to reject non-HP cartridges (strangely, the previous remanufactured ones still work but the printer seems to think they are 'cloned')

What's the error? It should only give an "non-HP chip detected" at best, which you need to take it up with the cart man because HP warned this on the packaging
