I'm totally new to Gravely Most of my experience has been with Sears and Cub Cadets I found a Gravely 812 on Craigslist a couple of weeks ago that looked to be in decent shape However, while talking to the owner there were several issues that concerned me The issues were hydraulic system

The standard Gravely 'L' had a max speed of about 4 mph in high and 3 mph in low I think the 'LI' has a max speed of 3 mph in high and 2 25 mph in low Other than the gearing difference, they are the same The PTO is not reversible, but it does have a "high" and "low" speed controlled by the high-low lever that controls ground speed

This tractor is part of a trailer load of Gravely stuff I bought a few years back from a guy who had accumulated it over time, and then decided to get it all out of his way There are, I think, 3 L-series tractors that are either complete or mostly complete and could probably be brought back to life

Mary married Adam Stultz I am from the Joseph Gravely line James does appear to be the father of the four siblings, but I am always looking for more information about James Gravely, Sr and the Graveley family from Graveley, Hertfordshire, England I believe one problem with the research on our family is the vast number of surname spellings

I've used a Gravely L-8 (the manual start version of the Super convertible) and a 10 HP 5460, which is a later version of the 10a convertible in moderately heavy brush with the 30 inch mower I have to say, the minor HP upgrade really comes in to play at full speed operation with the brush hog when dealing with cutting grass and heavy brush

A Gravely Com 10A uses a fairly standard Kohler engine, nothing too special there So that would be check battery, points, condenser, and coil as well as the plug itself
