After looking through more than a few posts here, talking with quite a few makers, I've narrowed the list down to KMG-TX, TW-90, Wilmont, Reeder or Northridge The TW-90 only has one tool arm slot, 1 25" arms and tracking adjustmentat the motor, which seems to make it an outlier in the market

It runs much cooler, creates smoother grinds, and because of it's reduced drag, it can actually make your grinder feel like it's stronger then it actually is About the closest alternative would be some type of fully hardened steel

For grinder use, put VFD in box or good filters over the air inlet and they work just fine for a fraction of the cost Can't imagine one being easier to setup then the last Chinese VFD I got It has a very good English manual with only a few pages and only 33 (??) parameters that can be changed, and only 2 or 3 of those actually need changing

I've decided to go with a KMG grinder I sold my Sears 2x42 but I like my little HF 1x30" It comes in handy for lots of jobs I do prefer it on its side rather than vertical Here's a mod my buddy helped me with (he did most of the work!) for the HF What do you guys think? New

I'm using a Grizzly 2X72" grinder, and have added a ceramic glass liner to the platen What grit do you start with for grinding bevels? Are these grinds established with a single pass on each side? Are they done freehand? What devices are used beside the bubble jig to aid in achieving even grinds?
