I had a 97 18' classic for yrs I did everything in that boat from offshore to wade fishing it would go fairly skinny handle the rough shop pretty good, and a dry riding boat It sold the first day I put it up for sale Gulf Coast are not the best boats made, but they are really good boats that will last for a long time

Mr Simmons sold the mold to a bunch of manufacturers I e majek, gulf coast, pescador, tidewater etc Tidewater took it and added 1 foot and subtracted a foot since the mold was a 24’ boat You’re going to have very similar performance, but not identical being this is a capped boat and not rolled gunnel so it’s a little heavier

Gulf Coast Waders were decent but tore within 2 years, Magellens are ok but also don't last too long You can save the box and Academy will replace but I'd rather not show up to a leak in cold water Orvis fit funny to me but they are good

Thats what I figured These boats are pushing the 10 yr old mark of when they were really popular Its just wierd that I have seen such an explosion of them for sale over the last 2 weeks
