To the original question – does anyone have any experience with the heated insoles or heated socks that I mentioned? I dress well, have enough space in my boots, wear good coats, bibs, gloves, hats, base layers, etc

The heated liner socks stayed up though and they come with a separate Velcro top if you prefer it Either way seemed to work good I was able to stay put a lot longer with them on than normal I have tried the heated insoles too but none of my boots are big enough to use them without taking out the insoles they came with

My first heated ones were liners brand name Saviour from Amazon While they heated up quite well, I found them pretty useless without wearing bulky gloves or mitts over the top After more research concerning heating element wiring and heat patterns of gloves, I settled on another set of Saviour gloves

Having said that, I mainly really like the socks for days with large temperature swings, like if I’m out deer hunting and expecting it to change 30 degrees throughout the day Then I can wear a lighter boot and still stay warm If I’m ice fishing or expecting constant, extreme cold, then I just throw on the Baffins and call it good

The ones they are talking about have the battery built into the sole so all your weight is on it Probably weak shitty construction so you eventually puncture the battery I would think heated socks or other clothing where you just have a battery pack attached somewhere is much safer
