Tempo slider is very short, so harder to get exact BPM, but you can always work around it Pads are tactile (so a physical click rather than a touch sensitive pad) which makes sampler drumming a little harder, but if you want that you can always upgrade to a higher end controller

I realise that the RB is probably best for a beginner such as myself However considering the fact that I will eventually grow out of it is it best starting with a mid-range controller such as the RR As mentioned in one of the comments, the DDJ SR is another controller option
