The price in Canada is almost certainly market-based Prices for anything else comparable that are available to rural customers are well in line with StarLink's offerings A wireless ISP lit up a tower locally after I had StarLink and their top-tier offering is priced identical to the StarLink price, even though it offers slower speeds overall

Starlink costs more but is faster is basically it It’s pretty reliable At 20mb, if you do stuff like downloading games, stream multiple movies, etc the extra speed will be nice If you just do one thing at a time, streaming is smooth, and aren’t downloading anything over a gig, then it probably won’t make a difference

I'm about to pull the trigger on Starlink for my parents' farm (Alberta, Canada) They're currenrly offering refurbished units for $250CAD which seems like a steal to me I'm just wondering if there's any downsides I'm not aware of, or any reason you guys think I'm gonna regret going with the $250 refurbished unit instead of the full-price new one?
