3 start the game and the map editor 4 on the flat new map, dig a hole or apply any change with the landscaping tool 5 open the map menu and choose "Export Heightmap"; the game will now create a new Heightmaps folder 6 quit everything, drag your png file into the new Heightmaps folder and try again

@Hokiefan00 when you import the heightmap you have to add water sources If you are using the Water Features mod by @yenyang, then you can easily add the water sources required The one for Sea Level is appropriately named and is green in color

The folder should be created upon starting the game Have you started a save before attempting to import a heightmap? No, do I need to just start a new game and just save it? Will that create the folder?

If you want to use a different projection for you heightmap and province map you can reproject the current merged heightmap To do this go to Raster -> Projections -> Warp (Reproject)
