Apparently honey from China can contain as much as 50% corn syrup as a filler and they still label it as "pure honey" Have you ever wondered why the large stores like Costco can sell honey so cheap? Corn syrup is cheaper than honey and the average consumer cannot tell the difference

Just saw this at the local Costco How is this possible? Does anyone know the actual source of this honey? It say's it is 100% product of U S honey I'm wondering if this is honey from hives that were fed sugar syrup? Anyone have any factual information on this?

If packers are buying US honey @ $195 lb and costco is retailing it for $3, obviously volume is their business, and volume is good for the beekeepers who want to produce and sell a lot of honey

Costco in Hawaii does sell locally produced honey; however, it is from the largest producer (s) in the state One has to get approval by some private organization, which comes with annual inspections and at a significant cost Costco also sells some imported wild flower honey
