Bend also has awesome lakes to choose from in the summer time, and of course the river and all sorts of other outdoor fun in really close proximity (as others have said, it’s sort of B+ at everything, but it does have everything)

Visiting for the day+ any recommendations? We’re passing through (today tomorrow) for and want to see what bend is all about traveling with a 12 year old and my wife Anything we should checkout city wise? additionally we like hiking, coffee, light biking, 4x4 off road trails thanks in advance

Tourists do cause crowding but Bend wouldn't exist without them Plus tourists go home, transplants who relocate to Bend because "it's so beautiful and friendly" are like houseguests running up all your expenses, not contributing to your beautiful home while they destroy it, invite people over, and never leave!!
