Which is most accurate Internet speed test site? My Xfinity Internet plan is currently supposed to be 400 Mpbs That's overkill for us and I'm looking to downgrade, but first I want to see what we're really getting I tried four different sites and they vary widely, from 75 Mbps to 250 Mbps

I have been checking my internet speed periodically by directly using an ethernet cable into the xfinity provided modem I pay for a 2000 Mb s plan, but the most I've ever seen the speed is 800 Mb s

The first requirement is being subscribed to a current internet package, like the ones listed above (Connect, Connect More, Fast, Superfast, etc ) If you are subscribed to a legacy internet service like Performance, Performance Pro, Blast!, Extreme, Extreme Pro, etc , your upload speeds will remain at 20 Mbps

I am getting the advertised speeds for my subscription now I believe the issue was with the WAN interface on the old wifi router where it was no longer able to negotiate the correct download speed from the cable modem's ethernet ("internet") port, upload speeds were unaffected The new router hardware hasn't had that problem
