Freddy is basically rebranded fredbear after the bite of 83 It was shown that fredbear was an inconsistent character in-universe through SB with his in-universe artwork being differently colored, even sometimes being called Freddy

Fredbear only bit CC Evan because the robot was doing a preprogrammed movement and the animatronic had no sensors in the mouth to detect an obstruction People just don't understand how the springlocks work or what they're are for But the annoying thing is that Matpat claimed it to be a Springlock failure in his recent video for his FNAF timeline
