- what is Jedec timing table - Toms Hardware Forum
Now JEDEC tables are standard timings programmed into the SPD tables of the RAM They tell the computer what settings to run the ram at for certain speeds For more info wikipedia has articles on JEDEC and SPD, or you can google them
- Question - What does this mean in the . . . - Toms Hardware Forum
Jedec is a standards body and what they do is basically validate certain standards for ram So when you get 5600MHz ram, there will be a ram table for it, and it'll have certain timings, voltages etc That allows any pc that can use that ram to have bios values listed Jedec only goes up to the speeds of the memory controller, so with 13th gen cpus, that's 5600 tops Anything above that will
- Confusing JEDEC timings in CPU-Z | Toms Hardware Forum
The ram is installed in slot 2 and slot 4 and running dual channel but it seams the ram is slightly underclocked on the JEDEC's with different timings This was a kit from G Skill and I'm wondering if this is a CPU-Z reporting anomaly or I have an issue with that ram?
- [SOLVED] - Do 3200mhz JEDEC ram sticks run at 3200mhz as default?
Hey, so i have an hp motherboard that does not support overclocking, i upgraded my ram to 2x8gb 3200mhz but it runs at 2133mhz, i can't change the speeds at bios So the question is, does JEDEC ram run at max speed by default or would i have to configure in bios for it to run at 3200mhz?
- [SOLVED] - Noob question about DDR5 RAM - Toms Hardware Forum
"4x DDR5 memory slots, supporting up to 128GB 1 Supports 1R 4800 MHz (by JEDEC POR) Max overclocking frequency: 1DPC 1R Max speed up to 6400+ MHz 1DPC 2R Max speed up to 5400+ MHz 2DPC 1R Max speed up to 4000+ MHz 2DPC 2R Max speed up to 4000+ MHz" (support intel XMP 3 0 OC )
- Question - Standard JEDEC vs XMP | Toms Hardware Forum
So, 2666mhz is the default JEDEC speed for that platform with those components Enabling XMP on 2666mhz sticks, with that configuration, is probably not going to change much of anything because the profile is already supported by default Some few settings specific to those particular modules might change based on XMP vs JEDEC but it will not likely be enough to see or notice on anything
- JEDEC and XMP - I want real numbers, not overclocked XMP
JEDEC standard speed for DDR4 is 2133MHz Manufacturers literally cannot release anything clocked higher by default if they want JEDEC certification I'm not sure exactly what your issue with XMP is It doesn't affect anything except the RAM
- Question - Which DDR5 RAM modules are the . . . - Toms Hardware Forum
Even if the modules are on the QVL of the motherboard, it can happen, after some time, that they can no longer run at those advertised speeds, and they start running at JEDEC default speed (There are many of such posts on this forum)
