- JVM Variants Query | Page 2 | Marshall Amp Forum
The JVM shines in the High Gain modes (OD1 2 Orange and Red) thats where it fattens up for Rhythm work But i find the stock JVM isnt very good for Lead work, it sounds thin and shrill on the high notes Think High E from the 12th fret up Now i could get a great close mic-recorded tone from it, but playing 'live' i felt it lacked punch and
- Im getting a JVM | Page 2 | Marshall Amp Forum
Quite the opposite of "muddy" in fact! A standard JVM is a good amp, but a well-modded one is an exceptional amp! I've heard zero of the JVM mods in real life! But the Rhoads, AFD, Plexi 'C83' and the NFB are not for me As the NFB is lowered, it is as if the low end gets looser, in the clips I've heard
- Disappointed by the DSL - is the JVM what I need?
The JVM and using its midi capabilities gives you an arsenal of tones at your disposal with one foot stomp which is great The other guitarist in my band also has a 410H and a 410JS and I will say I am also impressed by the JS model

- I Really Want This Amp. | Marshall Amp Forum
I really want the 1959HW but someone whispers to me that I should buy a JVM 410H because I will be tired of using an attennuator and it will suck out some tone as well The JVM seems to be versatile and can even sound like a 1959 ( Johan Segeborn tells) I already have to reissues on my lineup
