The team at the DI is here to connect vulnerable adults (18+) experiencing or at risk of homelessness with emergency shelter, housing and health programs We provide low-barrier access to care, when and where it is needed, with a goal to support each person’s transition to the most independent living possible

With the generous support of the community and the Calgary Food Bank, the DI offers three daily meals and bagged lunches for anyone who needs it in our emergency shelters

The two-year initiative is being launched as a partnership between the City of Calgary, the Calgary Homeless Foundation, Calgary Police Service, and the United Way of Calgary and Area One day space location will be in the downtown core, while a second will be located elsewhere
